| Connor & Miriah became friends on the first day of kindergarten in 1998. In September 2002, the girls decided to have a Teddy Bear Drive and give all the bears away to children that were hospitalized over Christmas of that year. The girls collected almost 300 bears and donated them to a children's hospital. (Scroll down to read more and to look at more pictures)

Shortly after Connor died on August 3, 2003, Miriah decided to continue the Teddy Bear Drive in memory of her best friend. With the help of the girls' families, friends and community, Miriah collected close to 6,000 bears in 2003-2004 and gave them to children (and adults) who were in need of a little peace and comfort.

Miriah will continue the Teddy Bear Drive in memory of Connor as long as she can. She has made it her personal ministry to give bears to those who might need comfort and peace in their life. And if Connor's memory helps to bring that peace to another individual, then the girls have accomplished what they set out to do in 2002. Thank you for being a part of Bears for BooBoos, and taking an interest in helping others. It is a blessing to help others, and gives us personal satisfaction. May God give a special blessing to those who do.
